Five years ago, a broad coalition craving a voice for change carried me to City Hall. We beat out money and special interests in the largest and most expensive election in our City’s history, and I was elected as the first Asian woman and Jew of Color to serve in San Mateo.​

We passed generational tax reforms and made unprecedented investments in affordable housing and sustainable infrastructure. We led San Mateo through the pandemic, saving jobs and lives –  we were united with compassion protecting our small businesses and our most vulnerable. ​​​​
